Rainbow Baby after the Storm | Newborn Photographer | Cleveland Ohio Photographer

As a Cleveland, Ohio photographer it is always such an honor to capture a rainbow baby photography session. Over the last 6 years, I have captured many rainbow babies in my studio. Such a pleasure to see the joy with the family after waiting many months or years for their special one to arrive.

What is a rainbow baby?

A baby born shortly after the loss of a previous baby. The loss could be from miscarriage stillbirth or death infancy. The term rainbow baby is often given, since the rainbow follows the storm.

What takes place during my newborn sessions?

My newborn sessions usually last 2-2.5 hours depending on how the baby does. If the baby is asleep I like to photograph all of the posed and wrapped shots first. If the baby becomes fussy, we usually take a small break to eat and then start with the family photos. While holding the baby and re positioning them, they often times fall back to sleep. I like to end with my lifestyle area and “less wrapped” photos. These photos can be more tricky since it depends how cooperative the baby is. If the baby is unable to settle this is the perfect time to capture those macro shots of tiny ears, feet and hands.

How to book?

It’s best to reach out before the baby comes to ensure you’ll have a spot reserved for newborn portraits. Most people do book well in advance and I don’t like to turn people away if my schedule is full.

The portraits usually take place anytime from day 5 to day 15 of life. I like this sweet spot, since they look like newborns and are more easily able to fall back to sleep.

Your session is customized and unique for your family. The best part is all digital images are included. Usually 40-50 images. If they are all good and beautiful, I sent them all. There is no holding back on digital images.

Spring Mini Session | Rockefeller Greenhouse Cleveland | Cleveland, Ohio

The Rockefeller Greenhouse in Cleveland, Ohio is truly a hidden gem! I couldn’t believe when I first visited the greenhouse how beautiful all of the different plants and flowers were! I knew this was a hidden gem and the perfect place for spring photos! Especially for those who love the natural boho style that is so popular right now! Also, since we can’t count on the weather here in Cleveland to be outside. The warm temperature controlled greenhouse will be the perfect place for photos.

Minis will be held on 4/16/2022 in the morning. You must pre register and book in order to save your photo spot. These minis are perfect for families, children, couples, and HS Seniors! They also make great gift ideas for upcoming mothers day!

Baby Henry | Cleveland Newborn Photographer | Baby Photographer

This sweet little guy visited my studio in January of 2022. I really love this time of year, since it is slower paced and much more relaxed. This time of year I focus my photography more on maternity, newborn and milestone shoots. The fall time is so busy and hectic with numerous photo sessions scheduled that I look forward to January! I am also happy to announce, I’ve added many new items to my newborn studio in order to keep up to date and keep my newborns very stylish… Ha!

If you’re looking to schedule a newborn shoot, I recommend doing so while you are pregnant. This gives us both time to plan and schedule the date you want. I usually pick a tentative date 1 week after you due date. But if the baby comes early or late, no worries! I leave plenty of room in my calendar to move sessions around.

Now Booking Newborn Photography 2022 | Cleveland, Ohio | Northeast Ohio

The New Year is right around the corner and I’m so excited to offer many new things in Newborn Photography with my business! Behind the scenes I’ve been gearing up and taking many new newborn classes. The world of photography with newborns are always changing and I find it extremely important to stay current and up to date. That is the best way to offer all of my clients the most up to date beautiful and professional images. I also am offering many new props, wraps and accessories to my newborn closet! I am now booking into February of 2022, I recommend booking while you are expecting. Please don’t wait until the baby is born to start researching newborn photographers. At that time, most are already booked. Plus the best time to photograph newborns is anytime from day 7 to day 15 of life. So some planning must take place to achieve the perfect photos. Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions | Cleveland, Ohio | Family Photography

We were so lucky this November to have a such beautiful snow at the tree farm for the mini sessions. It was a little chilly, but the sun peeked out on Sunday to add a little warmth for all the families. A huge Thank You, to all the families who traveled out to Sugar Pines Farm my annual tree farm photography sessions. It was such a fun weekend and I enjoyed seeing familiar faces along with meeting new ones as well..

Cleveland Child Photographer | First Birthday Photography

We had the perfect weather and perfect setting to celebrate and little boy’s first birthday! The family really wanted to create fall theme first birthday. We are very lucky in Lake County, Ohio to have many beautiful parks that create beautiful backdrops.

This park had a red barn, open meadow and pond which was perfect to get us all in the fall mood! This park is located in Concord Township, Ohio not far from outside of Mentor, Ohio.

My first birthday milestone sessions can be customized outdoor shoots or the traditional indoor shoots. My indoor first birthday shoots are usually with backdrops with a cake smash option. The outdoor sessions can be customized or even themed for the your little boy or girl.

The cool is in the air and its pumpkin spice time, am I right? It is officially fall and even though my Fall Photography sessions have already been announced I am happy to say I have 2 spots left!
