Are you expecting in 2020?! The bump to baby newborn package was one of the favorites in 2019 for many expectant families. If you know you will want maternity, newborn and 1 year photos, then this package is the perfect fit for you. The package entails a 1 hour Maternity, 1.5 hour Newborn and 1 hour Milestone session to take place when you are ready. Fresh 48 Photography | Cleveland, Ohio | Lake County, Ohio
I am so very excited to announce the addition of the “Fresh 48 Photography Sessions” to my packages. You may ask, what exactly is the Fresh 48?
This type of photography is a special session for the those families who want the first few hours of their Newborn’s life captured without the labor or birth documented. The sessions take place at the hospital or birthing center within the first 24-48 hours of life. This session is also known more as a lifestyle and documentary approach of the the newborn and their immediate family. Please note this is not a traditional Newborn Session and I will not pose the baby or bring any props.
This is what you can expect during the Fresh 48. Once the baby is born and you are settled in your room, I will come to the hospital for your session. This is typically on day 2. Since I use natural light, I come during daylight hours. Between doctors, nurses, and visitors, we don’t have a large window of time for pictures. Sessions typically last about 45-60 minutes. This allows time for individual pictures of baby, pictures with parents, and meeting siblings. This will be my chance to capture your baby’s sweet new moments in a fresh natural way!
Most recently I also completed my safety certification for Newborn Photography. With this new certification along with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing (RN) I can ensure your precious little one will be in great care.

Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions | Cleveland, Ohio | Family Photography
We were so lucky this November to have a such beautiful snow at the tree farm for the mini sessions. It was a little chilly, but the sun peeked out on Sunday to add a little warmth for all the families. A huge Thank You, to all the families who traveled out to Sugar Pines Farm my annual tree farm photography sessions. It was such a fun weekend and I enjoyed seeing familiar faces along with meeting new ones as well..

Figuring out what to wear for Family Photos can sometimes seem like a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be. I often advise my clients to start in their own closets and look for solid color clothing options and only purchase a few new items. I highly recommend looking at local stores such as Target, Old Navy and Marshalls for great fall clothing finds. You don’t need to spend a fortune on your outfits, just a little planning in advance will help style your family for your next photo shoot.

Fall Mini Photography Sessions | Cleveland, Ohio | Lake County, Ohio
Its that time of year again with the cooler temps, leaves changing and shorter days. Even though I really love summer and that will always be my favorite time of year. There is something about the start and feel of the fall and holiday season. For me it also starts the busy my busy Family Photography Session season. I am usually busy all year round with newborns, milestone and family photography. The fall is my favorite time to host a few mini photography sessions. I only do about 3-4 per year and its a great time for families who only want a few pictures and a quick session. What is a Mini Session? And how is it different than a regular family session?
My regular family sessions can be booked at anytime throughout the year. I am always happy to work with the family picking the best day, location and of course outfits for their photoshoot. With my regular family sessions there is one price and in that price it comes with 50-60 digital images with copyright. The family also gets to choose any location they would prefer. Urban, beach, park or even their own home is an option.
My Mini Sessions are only done a few times during the year. The date and location is chosen by myself. The session is only 20 minutes and the family usually receives 10-12 digital images with the option to purchase more. Are the minis meant to replace a full family session. Not usually… There is no way I can photograph in 20 minutes what I would normally shoot in a full 1 -1 1/2 hour session. The minis are short and sweet but nice for families who like to get pictures done every year:)
For my Fall 2019 Mini Photography Sessions I am booked for October. I have a couple openings for a full regular family session. I will be announcing my Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions soon. I was so excited to hear from this friend of mine that told me she was expecting. Not only was she expecting but she also wanted me to photograph her Newborn Photos. This family have been waiting for a sweet blessing from above to arrive for some years. They were finally blessed with a baby girl that now completes their family of four. Often times people will say the best its yet to come. This couldn’t be more true for this sweet little family. I was asked by the family’s co-workers to purchase a photo session. I always believe photography sessions make the perfect gift and this present was for the parents to be. This little guy’s parent fought very hard for him and didn’t give up along the way. I was truly honored to photograph this sweet little guys first moments. I wish nothing but the best as the true gift is watching him grow through the years.

It was so special to photograph this new baby girl. The reason was I first met this cute couple when we did a fall photo session and she announced she was expecting. No one knew yet she was expecting I was able to photograph the sweet ultrasound with the soon to be big brother. At the time neither of us knew if a baby brother or sister would be joining the family.
I offer many different newborn packages in order to fit everyone’s needs. I offer in my studio newborn plus family sessions, mini newborn sessions (just for the baby) and I also travel to clients homes. I bring all of my newborn supplies with me and we focus on more lifestyle photos!

Cleveland Botanical Garden | Maternity Photography | Cleveland, Ohio
The Cleveland Botanical Gardens serves as a beautiful backdrop for maternity photos. My recent maternity session in May took place at the gardens. Even thought the flowers were not in full bloom yet, the grounds were still very breathtaking. Not to mention the indoor rain forest was fun place to for our shoot together.

Baby B is finally here. It is so exciting to first photograph the expectant parents during the maternity session and then finally meet the baby. Baby B was a dream to photograph, he did so well during his first photo shoot. My newborn photo shoots take place in my in home studio. They usually last 2 hours and is a nice mixture of both newborn and family poses.

Soon a sweet little baby will make a family of 3. One of my most popular packages that I offer families is my bump to baby package. This is such a new, fun and exciting time in a person’s life. It really should be documented the best it can. My bump to baby package is there to photograph your growing belly with a Maternity session, Newborn Session and finally a milestone session with the baby. This package can be purchased and booked with tentative dates, depending on when the baby is born. It is best to have your maternity photos taken in the 3rd trimester but not close to your due date. Moms usually feel their best during the beginning or middle of the 3rd trimester and you now have a belly to show off!
After the maternity session, I recommend the Newborn photos taken during days 4-15 of life. They are usually a quick 1 hour session taken in my studio. Finally the milestone session can be done anytime during the baby’s first year. Or you can have their first birthday smash cake session done.
I greatly enjoyed my time with the Sabol family and we documented their maternity session. Mom is feeling great and we are all anticipating the arrival of her baby girl. I will be photographing her Newborn pictures as well.

Its always a pleasure meeting and talking with a family expecting a new little one on the way. This family not only trusted me with their newborn session but also their Fresh 48 session. The best part is non of us new if the family was going to have a baby boy or girl? They currently have a baby boy at home and we all were anticipating the news of the baby’s arrival. I will say I was a little excited to hear girl since for some reason 2018 and early 2019 was a year of newborn boys. I met the family in their hospital room for their fresh 48 session. Baby girl looked perfect and mom, dad and brother were thrilled for her to be here. The fresh 48 take place within 48 hours after delivery. I usually like to come in about day 2 of their stay. Once I wrapped up the fresh 48 session I was looking forward to them returning for their newborn sessions.
This session took place in my small studio. The newborn session entails more of the traditional poses of baby and adding in mom, dad and brother as well. I am so thrilled for the C. Family and their new family. I wish nothing but the best and creating sweet memories as they watch their children grow through the years.

Fresh 48 photography is becoming one of my favorite newborn sessions with my families. They are so special because these special moments are captured shortly after delivery. Fresh 48 is a unique opportunity to photograph the baby with their immediate family within 48 hours of entering this world.
The photos are more documented and relaxed in fashion without any posing or staging the photos. They are as natural as they can be. They take the stress out of photography because my whole goal is to capture the moment and the interactions between mom, dad and siblings. The major images I also try and capture are the baby’s skin, tiny hand, hospital bassinet and cuddling with mom & dad.

The benefits of Newborn Lifestyle Photography | Cleveland, Ohio | Lake County, Ohio
Those tiny toes, the fluttering eyelashes, the way they grasp their parents’ fingers. These are the moments that parents want to record and keep forever. There really is two different types of Newborn Photography today. There is the traditional Newborn Photography which is the type of photos you see with babies in baskets, bowls and backdrops. I currently offer this type of photography and is done at all of my newborn sessions. I also have a variety of “high-end” wraps, headbands and accessories to choose from while customizing your session.
The second type of Newborn photography is known as Lifestyle photography. So what exactly is this? This is more like photojournalism in that it is designed to tell a story, and document the baby with their new surroundings. These tend to be shots that are more real and less staged, designed to capture the essence of having a newborn. This is truly my favorite since it allows poses to be natural, unposed and artistic all at the same time. The true benefit of Lifestyle photography is the session takes place in the comforts of your OWN home! How great is that! Especially after coming home from the hospital, who really wants to leave to go get pictures taken. I am happy to bring everything to you! At my Lifestyle sessions, I bring all of my props, swaddles and accessories with me. I do a combination of traditional newborn poses so you don’t miss out on those plus lifestyle photography throughout your home. No worries if you have high energy toddlers at home too. I will capture those true smiles and laughs all while incorporating the newest member of your family:)
I currently blend in a 3rd option with all of my newborn sessions. I have become known as the “unposed” Newborn photography style. This typically is a white sheet with a white wrap flowing around the baby. I love this new unique style that looks as it should. Unposed and 100% natural at the same time. Please look below for examples of my most recent lifestyle session that took place.

I am excited to announce I am now offering the “itty bitty Newborn Mini Photography Sessions”. These session are for the Newborn only that take place at my home studio. It is a 1 hour session that includes 1 blanket and 1 prop set up with 2-4 different poses. With the mini you also receive 10 high resolution digital images with copyright and the option to purchase more. Because these are simply “mini sessions” and 1 hour in length the baby may be either awake or asleep for the pictures. I try my hardest to achieve those sleepy newborn poses but will continue even if the baby is awake. Honestly, they all turn out super adorable whether they are asleep or awake. I have even learned through the years to capture the baby blinking which looks like they are peacefully sleeping.
